The finish on these chairs is casein paint and linseed oil. A very limited range of colours is available but the most successful are black and red.
In the US painted chairs are very popular. They show
off the form of the chair without the distractions of
woodgrain and colour. Painted chairs are usually made out
of mixed woods as the differences in colour and texture
will be covered by the paint.
